De Jong Shipping Group transports dry cargo and project cargo via inland waterways across the canals and rivers of Europe.
With transport takeovers, chartering, and supply chain management, we ensure efficient logistics. This allows us to optimize supply chains.
Inland shipping is versatile
We transport, among other things, cocoa beans, animal feed, wheat, fertilizers, minerals, salt, sugar, steel products, and wood pellets. We do this on a contract basis as well as for spot cargoes. We also handle project cargo from A to Z, such as wind turbine and bridge components. Additionally, we charter motor vessels from our partners, because together we achieve more!
Efficient and insightful
We closely monitor the flow of transport. How much cargo is arriving, and how much is stored? When does it need to be at its destination? Thanks to this proactive monitoring, we can optimize the scheduling of our motor vessels and push barges.
We can also manage this logistics on behalf of our clients. We maintain close contact with stevedores, agents of seagoing vessels, inspection companies, and receivers, systematically reporting these insights. This way, we provide not just transport, but also control over the entire supply chain.
