1902 - The start
The origins of the company date back to 1902 when skipper Pieter de Jong Sr. purchased his first sailing ship for coal transport. After financial setbacks, he bought the motor vessel 'Broedertrouw' in 1912. That same year, his son Willem left school to join him on the water.
